Donation Terms
These terms explain how ATHAR Donation Balance, payment confirmation, campaign allocation, and receipt records work.
Nature of the contribution
A confirmed balance top-up is treated as a donation to ATHAR under the current product policy. The balance is an internal donation record, not a bank account, stored-value payment product, or means of purchasing goods and services.
Payment confirmation
A balance is credited only after ATHAR receives an authoritative confirmation from the configured payment provider. A browser redirect, screenshot, or user-submitted statement is not proof of a successful payment. Failed, cancelled, or unconfirmed attempts do not credit the balance.
Allocating balance
Available balance may be allocated only to eligible ATHAR campaigns. An allocation cannot exceed the available balance and is recorded atomically in the financial ledger. Campaign allocations do not issue a second receipt because the contribution event occurred when the balance was charged.
Receipts and records
Where an eligible receipt is available, it relates to the confirmed balance top-up and is issued once through the approved receipt workflow. Provider status and the authoritative financial ledger control the displayed state. Tax-deductibility or official tax treatment must not be assumed unless separately confirmed by the organization and its legal and accounting advisers.
Refunds and unused balance
Under the current policy, a confirmed donation is final and the internal balance cannot be withdrawn, transferred, refunded, or exchanged for cash. Unallocated balance remains available in the donor account for future eligible campaigns. Any exception required by applicable law or approved by an authorized process must be handled through a documented compensating workflow rather than deletion of financial records.
Campaign changes
Humanitarian conditions may require a campaign to be paused, completed, or updated. ATHAR should communicate material changes transparently and preserve the relevant allocation and expense records. Donors should review the current campaign information before allocating balance.
